FedConUSA Volunteer Membership
FedConUSA would like to thank you for your interest in volunteering.
We are looking for volunteers who would like to donate time, talent and expertise in exchange for the opportunity to meet other volunteers from across the globe, who share a passion for science fiction. As a volunteer at FedConUSA, you will be the public representation of the organisation at convention time. Our volunteers will be involved in all aspects of the convention from meet and greet to stage management, security and guest liaison. You will play an essential role in keeping the convention moving smoothly.
There is a diverse selection of volunteer opportunities available to applicants. Some positions may require specialized skills and previous experience, however many of our positions simply require your dedication, enthusiasm and resourcefulness. Benefits
Each person who volunteers and works a minimum of a four hour shift at our convention will become a FedConUSA Volunteer Member and entitled to a range of benefits for themselves and their family and friends.
So what are these benefits?
Benefits of Membership (Valid after completion of a 4 hour shift only):
· Free entry into the convention on the day they complete a 4 hour shift minimum.
· Discounted entry into the convention for up to 4 friends/family. (Gold Weekend tickets excluded)
· Access to the volunteer sub-forum on the FedConUSA web-site
· Volunteer staff T-Shirts
· Orientation training before the start of first shift
· Invitation to the Dead Dog party
· Regular updates
Family Benefits of Membership:
· Family/Friends Discount - $99 economy ticket each for up to 4 people reimbursed after shifts have been completed.
· Total cost for Family/Friends - $79 if they stay at the hotel ($109 a night or $119 up to 4 people)

Volunteer Eligibility
To volunteer for FedConUSA you must fulfill the following requirements:
- You must be aged 18 or over
- Must comply to FedConUSA Volunteer Responsibilities (See Form)
- Some roles may require previous experience
- Have enthusiasm and a love for sci-fi and its fans

Applications must be received before May 20th 2008 for our 2008 event.
* Both the volunteers and their guests will be excluded from the Early Bird party and Celebration Feast unless the volunteer purchases a weekend ticket before the Early Bird cut off or Celebration Feast ticket (please note that some volunteers will be required to work during these events). All volunteers who complete their shifts will be invited to the Dead Dog party. Their guests are not invited to the Dead Dog. (Note that discount is not applicable to Gold Weekend tickets bought by the volunteers or their family/friends).
